CORSIM

CORSIM is a standard simulation package in the transportation industry that is effective at helping students, practitioners, and policy makers visualize complex situations. To use CORSIM, you will need to know how to make some adjustments to the traffic system being modeled, how to execute a CORSIM simulation, and how to view the resulting CORSIM animation.

CORSIM utilizes the following modules:

• TSIS - Uses text file "*.trf", which contains the CORSIM simulation model that randomly generates events, such as vehicle arrivals, and then models individual vehicle reactions to these events. 
• TRAFVU - Creates the information into an animation of the traffic system, so that you can get a better idea of how well the network operates.  

In order to help better understand the use of the software simulation models, we have set up a course of modules.
