Class Notes - Class 19 (Monday, October 22, 2001) The purpose of class today is to complete the development of your TRAFFIX data base for both the existing and future scenarios. Please note the following information and data as you complete this effort. You will need to have a complete data base ready for class on Wednesday, October 24, 2001. Setting trip generation rates by scenario. For each option, you will need to have a set of trip generation rates for each land use type. For example, for the existing scenario, you will need trip generation rates of zero for the hotel, for the residential development, and for the restaurant. Set the active rate for each scenario. Note that the amount is not important, but the rate in and rate out are both important. You also need to make sure that the trip generation rates are first defined in the global data option. You can use the copy data base data (in Tools menu) to copy a portion or all of a scenario in a data base to another scenario. The existing volume data for State Highway 8/Warbonnet and State Highway 8/Farm Road are given in the following table:
