Overview

The purpose of this assignment is to learn more about the planning analysis procedure for signalized intersections from the Highway Capacity Manual.

Requirements

  1. Use the data given in class and the HCM planning analysis forms to determine if the intersection has sufficient capacity to accommodate the projected demand.
  2. Determine the percentage increase in demand that the intersection can accommodate and still operate below capacity.

This assignment will be due at the beginning of class on Friday, September 28th for in-class students and Friday, October 5th for video students.
