Week 1
During the first week of this class, we
will consider the key issues that affect transportation in the United States and
in other countries. Our discussions will provide you with a basic
introduction to the issues that affect transportation planning. We will
consider why we undertake planning and what planning is. You will
identify, discuss, and analyze one or more key issues that are of interest in
transportation today. And, you will prepare an assessment of one
transportation issue that affects your local city or country.
