CN0300 10:00 Introduction to Rehabilitation of Highway
Concrete
Strategic Highway Research Program, June 1994
This video is an introduction to and previews four tapes entitled "Quality Control of Concrete on Site.” The importance of obtaining quality control of concrete in ME repair and rehabilitation of street and highway concrete is discussed.
CN0450 15:00 Partial-Depth Repair of Concrete Pavement
Strategic Highway Research Program, June 1994
This video demonstrates repair of spells at joints and mid‑sections of concrete pavements. Materials and procedures are shown for repair of damage limited to the upper third of the concrete slab. High early‑strength concrete mixes are discussed, and the repair process is demonstrated. Tests are shown for deterioration and determination of repair boundaries. Surface preparation is demonstrated, including options for removal of material, cleaning, and application of a bonding agent to the repair site. Finally, placement and consolidation of the concrete, finishing, and curing procedures are presented.
CN0500 27:20 Portland Cement Concrete "Truck Mix Plants"
Federal Highway Administration
This video shows the general operation of a typical truck mix plant and provides guidance on those operations that should be inspected to assure that quality concrete is being produced. It gives an overview of the materials used to make concrete and reviews the batching process, charging of the trucks, mixing of materials and truck clean‑up. Utilizes both lecture and demonstration instructional format.
