LeRoy Lewis

Road Supervisor

Jerome Highway District

                                          

Originally from Jerome, Idaho, LeRoy Lewis has been with the Jerome Highway District since 1979 where he has worked with heavy equipment, and has built and maintained roads. He became the road supervisor in December 1990. LeRoy is also an instructor at a U.S. Army Reserve school, where he teaches demolition, heavy equipment operations, and vehicle maintenance.

 LeRoy is currently the president of the Idaho Association of County Engineers and Road Supervisors. He has also been involved in the Transportation Subcommittee for the Jerome County Comprehensive Plan.

His goals are to communicate and supply information to all local public agencies, insuring that training materials are updated and current to meet the needs of the local agencies. LeRoy also points out that the Jerome Highway District utilizes the T2 Van Program and workshops to improve the knowledge of all their employees.

In his spare time, LeRoy enjoys camping, hunting and fishing with his family. He also enjoy sbeing a rock hound and making jewelry.
