Bruce Drewes
Training and Research Manager

Bruce
Drewes, a long-time employee of the Idaho Transportation Department, is the
Training and Research Manager for the Idaho T2 Center. His office is located in
the Idaho Water Center in Boise, ID.
Bruce’s
mission is to help cities, counties and highway districts throughout Idaho find
and obtain the technology best suited to solve their transportation problems.
Gene
Calvert, former
director of the Idaho Technology Transfer (T2) Center, said
when Bruce was hired in April 2001, “The
T2 Center has served the entire state from Moscow for the past four years;
Bruce’s hire gives us an additional resource who is more centrally located.”
Drewes
has more than 20 years’ experience in the transportation/ construction
industry. Most recently he worked as a training specialist for the Idaho
Transportation Department as a trainer/coordinator with the Division of
Highways. Previously, he was a project inspector and survey crew chief on
projects ranging in size from a single bridge on a country road project to a
four-lane interstate project.
