Welcome to the CE556 web page. This course is designed for graduate students with some background in pavement materials. Course Catalog Description (2008-2009) CE ID&WS556 Properties of Pavement Materials (3 cr). WSU CE 567. Design of asphalt and portland cement concrete mixes; physical and mechanical properties; characterization methods; effects of aggregate and binder constituents; modification and upgrading techniques; laboratory and in-situ evaluation methods; applications of highway and airport materials. Undergraduate Students' Enrollment:Senior undergraduate students who have completed CE357at the University of Idaho - or a similar course at another institution - can enroll in the CE556 course provided that their GPA is 2.8 or better.
