Stresses in Flexible Pavements
A. Problems
to be solved manually with book charts, and equations:
Chapter 2. Problems No. 1, 3, and 4
Note: For problem 1, determine only the vertical, radial and tangential
stresses and strains (not the principals).
To
determine the principal stresses, refer to equation 3.2 (Chapter 3).
Extra credit for determination of
the principal stresses/strains.
B. Problems to be solved using KENLAYER program:
Chapter 2. Repeat problem 4 and compare Kenlayer results to your manual results in A.
Also, do
problems 5 and 6.
Note: it is not sufficient that you provide the outputs only. Identify all
problem inputs and required results in the printed outputs.
